Full-sized violins are typically played by adults, teens and some children over age 10. It's almost always the largest and final size played for averaged size teen and adult players.

The violin comes in two adult sizes, the full “4/4” size at 23”-23.5” long and 14” wide, known as the standard size, as well as the “7/8” size at 22.5” long and 13.5” wide.
