Gold-OC8 Steel

The all-new Gold-OC8 is designed for players who want an OM body and a 43mm nut width for their high-end acoustic guitars. The Gold series' signature Aged to Vintage (ATV) finish gives the premium West Coast spruce top a more open and natural tone over time.

The ATV finish gives the Gold-OC8 a large, open tone that is also bright and natural, while the Bolivian rosewood back and sides add a warm and powerful midrange. The tone-enhancing UV finish not only protects the wood but also improves the tone through more natural vibrations. Combined with the Fishman® Flex Blend system, the guitar offers a wide range of tonal variations and includes a built-in tuner.

The tone of an old guitar is what everyone seeks in acoustic guitars. Over time, the top wood heals and opens up, giving it a sound quality that new guitars often lack – until now. Using a process we call ATV (Aged to Vintage), our West Coast spruce tops can produce that large, open tone, just like those decades-old guitars. This aging process allows brand-new guitars to have the superb tone of an old one.

The Gold series uses high-grade West Coast spruce wood, which is tough, has a high-density grain, and can resonate freely. The bright high frequencies, warm and rich mid frequencies, and deep and clear low frequencies create a beautiful and balanced tone that is suitable for any genre of music.

Bolivian rosewood is very similar to Indian rosewood in many characteristics. It is stable, wear-resistant, hard, and has a very attractive appearance.

OM missing corner barrel body

The Gold-OC8 uses the classic OM cutaway body, a design from the 1920s that evokes the classic pre-war tone. In terms of sound, it's louder than its seemingly small size suggests, and its dynamic feedback makes playing it a pleasure.

Fishman® Flex Blend System

The Fishman Flex Blend system features a sophisticated, modern design and innovative technology, offering extensive tone control and a built-in tuner. Volume, tone, phase, blending, and tuning functions are all operable via three knobs and the tuner display. The tone knob allows for selection of the perfect tone for both fingerstyle and strumming techniques, eliminating unwanted noise and amplifying the most natural acoustic guitar tone.

Walnut Reinforced Neck

The neck on the Gold has been reinforced for added rigidity and stability using two special inserts. This is constructed with two pieces of walnut installed to add stability while still retaining the natural properties of wood to further upgrade the Gold.

Ebony fingerboard

There are many types of wood used for fingerboards, but none of them have the same jet-black appearance and smooth feel as ebony.

Ebony piano key

The high density of ebony wood makes the basic tone of an acoustic guitar focused and tighter, and it projects sound better than plastic. It also increases the transmission of string vibrations to the soundboard, body and neck.

The connection between the neck and body is a crucial element for tone. On the Gold series, we first join them using a traditional dovetail joint, then reinforce it with screws. This double-locking neck connection maximizes tone transmission and resonance.

Walnut wood reinforced neck

The Gold series neck features two special inserts to enhance rigidity and stability. Walnut wood is used here to achieve this reinforcement while retaining the wood's inherent qualities, elevating the Gold series to a higher level.
