Cort Gold-O8

The Cort Gold series is characterized by its A+ grade West Coast spruce top, treated with ATV (Aged to Vintage) baking, allowing the wood to develop a more open tone over time. This ATV baking process gives the Gold-O8 a large, open, bright, and natural tone, paired with a strong and warm midrange thanks to the Bolivian rosewood back and sides.

The ultra-thin UV finish not only provides protection but also enhances the guitar's tone; in addition to the original natural wood finish, a new baked enamel color is now available.

The tone of an old guitar is what everyone seeks in acoustic guitars. Over time, the top wood heals and opens up, giving it a sound quality that new guitars often lack – until now. Using a process we call ATV (Aged to Vintage), our West Coast spruce tops can produce that large, open tone, just like those decades-old guitars. This aging process allows brand-new guitars to have the superb tone of an old one.

Premium West Coast Spruce Veneer

Spruce is unique in its power and sensitivity, which is why many well-known acoustic guitar brands choose this wood for their soundboards. The Gold series features a premium West Coast spruce solid top, offering balanced frequencies, bright and crisp highs, rich and warm mids, and tight bass, making it suitable for a wide range of styles.

Bolivian rosewood back and side veneer

Bolivian rosewood is very similar to Indian rosewood in many characteristics. It is stable, wear-resistant, hard, and has a very attractive appearance.

Double-lock neck connection

The connection between the neck and body is a crucial element for tone. On the Gold series, we first join them using a traditional dovetail joint, then reinforce it with screws. This double-locking neck connection maximizes tone transmission and resonance.

Walnut wood reinforced neck

The Gold series neck features two special inserts to enhance rigidity and stability. Walnut wood is used here to achieve this reinforcement while retaining the wood's inherent qualities, elevating the Gold series to a higher level.

Ebony fingerboard

There are many types of wood used for fingerboards, but none of them have the same jet-black appearance and smooth feel as ebony.

Ebony piano key

The high density of ebony wood makes the basic tone of an acoustic guitar focused and tighter, and it projects sound better than plastic. It also increases the transmission of string vibrations to the soundboard, body and neck.

Bone bolster bridge

No other material can produce the same natural tone and feel as real bone. Through the bone nut and bridge, the strings vibrate freely at these two crucial points of contact, transmitting energy into the wood.

Sound Enhancement UV Coating

The high-tech ultraviolet (UV) varnish not only provides a hard and durable appearance, but its ultra-thin coating also brings excellent resonance and rich tonal expression to the guitar.
